Dental Exams:
Here at ConfiDENT we take oral diagnosis exams with high standards, reviewing the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, screening for oral-related medical conditions, and taking X-rays when necessary.
Home care:
Taking good care of your teeth at home is as important as keeping regular visits to your dentist. Here in ConfiDENT we offer strategies with the most up to date oral devices and techniques to keep your smile bright and healthy.
Dental Sealants:
Pit and fissure sealants are currently recommended by the American Dental Association to prevent tooth decay in both permanent and baby teeth. The procedure consists on placing a tooth-colored acrylic “coating” onto the chewing surface of the tooth. This effectively “seals” the deep grooves, acting as a barrier and protecting enamel from plaque and acids. This procedure can benefit and protect children and young adults against tooth decay.
Preventive Maintenance / Cleaning / Prophy:
Regular cleanings are usually recommended and covered by most insurance companies every 6 months for both children and adults. This procedure helps remove plaque and calculus/tartar deposits from places that are not accessible during your regular home-care. It is a great opportunity not only to clean your teeth, but also to examine the overall status of your oral cavity!
Periodontal care is the part of dentistry that focuses on keeping your gums healthy and strong. Even the healthiest tooth will be lost unless it has a healthy foundation. Unhealthy gums increase the risk of bone loss around the teeth, which can progress to tooth mobility and eventually tooth loss.
Three out of four adults suffer from periodontal disease at some time in their life. The best way to prevent gum disease and cavities is by good tooth brushing and flossing techniques plus regular visits to your dentist.
ConfiDENT offers a few options of treatment, including newer, non-surgical, no stitches, laser-assisted periodontal treatments with our cutting-edge equipment.
Care for people with alcohol and other drug addictions. All treatment plans are individualized, ensuring that each person’s unique needs are met to promote healing and recovery. Dignity and respect are foundational values that guide our work.
Periodontal maintenance, or having your teeth cleaned every 3 to 4 months is a key factor to keep the periodontal disease under control in patients that underwent periodontal surgical or non-surgical treatment.
Who needs periodontal treatment?
Patient who have the following symptoms:
- Bleed easily, especially during flossing and brushing
- Gums are painful to the touch
- Gums are swollen, or swell frequently
- Gums are red, rather than pink
- Surround teeth covered with tartar/plaque
If you are having any of these symptoms please contact us for a consultation. It is important you do so at the first signs or symptoms, as it was demonstrated by studies that periodontal disease is closely linked to other systemic conditions like heart problems, diabetes, pregnancy complications, etc. The doctors from our team are members of the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health and can work closely with your physician in choosing the best approach for you overall health!
Tooth fillings / Dental restorations:
This restorative dentistry procedure consists of removing an old filling or decay out of the tooth, then we place a tooth-colored resin restoration material that can help prevent further decay. The result is a healthy and beautiful smile.
Inlays / Onlays:
Sometimes there is too much missing tooth structure to be restored by a simple filling, and in these cases we recommend a restoration made from porcelain/Zirconia, or even gold, that restores ONLY the missing tooth structure – without the need to remove additional tooth structure all around, as in a crown. Inlays/onlays are custom made to fit perfectly – like a piece of a puzzle – in the missing space prepared by us.
Crowns:
This is usually an option when there is so much tooth structure missing, that it cannot be restored by either a filling or an inlay / onlay. We place dental crowns fabricated from Zirconia, different type of ceramics, porcelain with a metal substrate, and even gold! Tooth-colored crowns may also be placed when aiding in a smile makeover, when combined with other crowns or veneers.
Bridges / Fixed Dental Prostheses:
This is usually an option when there is a missing or non-restorable tooth that cannot be replaced with an implant. We prepare the adjacent teeth for crowns and fabricate a restoration that replaces the missing tooth and is supported by the adjacent teeth. The tooth-colored bridge is usually made of porcelain / ceramic with a metal substrate, but there are newer metal-free material options too!
Our team at ConfiDENT is trained to recognize signs and symptoms of tooth wear due to bruxism (clenching and/or grinding), which was demonstrated by studies that is closely related to sleep apnea. We can work with your sleep specialist in choosing the best device for your situation! Some of these appliances can also treat TMD/TMJ problems as well as sleep apnea.
With advanced laser gum therapy treatments, patients have a more comfortable experience during treatment for failing dental implants or periodontal disease. The Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP) eliminates the need for incisions using a scalpel and resulting stitches.
We offer different options for partial or complete dentures: from traditional or implant retained dentures to implant supported, hybrid dentures, and overdentures. From metal frame dentures to metal free, flexible partials (like Valplast), with traditional design or computer aided design. ConfiDENT consults with specialists in prosthodontics when designing your dental prostheses, in order to achieve the best function, longevity and esthetics for our patients.
Our team at ConfiDENT can usually offer you a same-day appointment in case of a dental emergency! We strive to serve our patients and fit their emergencies in our schedule, even after hours when possible!

We use the latest standards for our endodontic treatments, including lasers. Please take into consideration that after endodontic treatment the tooth needs to be covered by a crown, in order to ensure strength and longevity.
Extractions:
When a root canal treatment is not possible, the only option left is usually an extraction, followed by replacing the tooth with an implant, bridge, or a prostheses. ConfiDENT takes the patient’s comfort seriously and we try to see emergency patients on the same day. We also offer wisdom teeth removal.

Sometimes the infection if your mouth “can progress” to the point of having severe inflammation, discharge or suppuration” (pus). Dental implants are an excellent and often life-changing solution for patients who need to replace missing teeth. However, an ideal candidate for dental implants must meet certain criteria. Beyond good overall health and optimal periodontal health, patients much also have an adequate amount of jawbone structure.
While all dental implants have a post that is surgically placed into the jaw, the implant restoration that is placed on top may differ based on your specific clinical needs. Implant restorations are the part of the dental implant that makes up your prosthetic tooth or teeth. This is the component that is visible to others, so it is important that it looks and feels natural.
Dental implants can give you back your complete smile when you have lost one or more teeth. Thanks to dental implants, many people enjoy a functional, beautiful smile again. One of the requirements for implant restorations is enough bone to support the implant. For some patients, this may require a sinus lift, which we offer at ConfiDENT in Alpharetta, GA.

At ConfiDENT, we have an experienced dental team that offers a wide selection of advanced dentistry services.
