COVID-19 Response
At ConfiDENT, we continue to remain diligent in our responsibilities with the well-being of our patients, team members and our community. As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact our community, we understand the fear of the unknown. We want to ensure our patients that we are taking all the necessary precautions to alleviate this anxiety. We are also continuously monitoring and following recommendations made by the CDC and ADA.
We take pride in our practice and have always maintained high cleanliness and sterilization standards for the safety of our patients and team members. Due to recent events, we have implemented additional protocols that go above and beyond our previous practices.
Screening and rescheduling at-risk patients:
To help protect the safety of our patients and team members, we ask anyone that is currently feeling sick to reschedule your appointment and call your physician. This is especially true if you are experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat or other symptoms that mimic a cold or the flu.
Limiting the number of individuals in the practice:
We are limiting the number of individuals present in the office at any one time. When you arrive, please wait in your car, and text or call our team at 770.772.0994. Once the area has been cleaned and sterilized, one of our team members will come to greet you outside.
Before entry, we will use infrared thermometers to screen all patients.
Upon entry:
Each patient is given a pre-treatment rinse of hydrogen peroxide upon entry. This pre-rinse helps stop the spread of germs. After the rinse, you will be asked to wash your hands before being seated. While in the office, we ask that you keep your mask on unless the doctor or hygienist is actively treating you.
High vacuum suctions for aerosols:
ConfiDENT has purchased a number of Vanguard Gold Mobile-Extraoral Dental Suctions for Aerosols. Vaniman has been trusted in the dental world for over 30 years. Their mobile suction unit has been designed to safely capture chairside aerosols. Using this device helps protect each operatory from airborne contaminants.
Personal protective equipment (PPE):
Our team will look a little different in the extra PPE on your next visit. Under the face shields, masks and surgical gowns, we are the same loving, caring dental team members.
Increased disinfecting:
We have implemented more frequent disinfecting of high-traffic and high-touch areas like the waiting room, front desk and restrooms.
We want to assure our community that for the foreseeable future, our practice will remain open to provide high-quality oral care for our patients. Please remember, your safety, that of your family members, and our team members have always been and will continue to be a top priority. We will continue to monitor developments with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and adjust where necessary.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with these new changes. We appreciate your trust and confidence in our ability to provide you and your family with excellent, safe oral care.
