CEREC Primescan
One of the most significant advancements in modern dentistry is the evolution of digital imaging technology. Three-dimensional scanning allows dentists to capture highly detailed images of oral structures, supporting restorations that are more precise, efficient, and comfortable for patients. At ConfiDENT, digital imaging and restorative care using CEREC Primescan are overseen by Dr. Cesar Tapia, whose advanced training supports accuracy-driven treatment planning. We have invested in one of the latest 3D imaging systems, the CEREC® Primescan, enabling us to provide same-day dental crowns, bridges, and veneers at our dental center in Alpharetta, GA.
3D Images for Same-Day Restorations
CEREC Primescan uses cutting-edge digital technology to deliver highly detailed imaging of the teeth and surrounding oral structures. With this system, patients no longer need traditional dental impressions when receiving restorations. The Primescan device captures precise 3D images and seamlessly connects to our CEREC software and on-site milling equipment.
This integration allows our team to design and create same-day dental restorations directly in our office. Whether restoring a single tooth or an entire arch, digital scans can be quickly transmitted to our on-site fabrication system to produce crowns, bridges, veneers, and other restorations with speed and accuracy—often in just one visit.
Advanced 3D Imaging
There are many 3D imaging devices available that are used in dentistry. CEREC Primescan has advanced features that make it more accurate when scanning oral structures. The device can obtain 50,000 images per second and sends these digital images to the connected software to create detailed pictures of the oral structures. The sensor uses more than a million 3D points every second to obtain the most accurate information to create photo-quality images. Primescan can retrieve images from hard-to-reach areas that other devices may miss.
The Primescan 3D imaging allows our dental team to perform intricate procedures for our patients requiring restorative dentistry and other treatments. The precise imaging helps us plan and prepare to create accurate implants and restorative devices at our dental center in Alpharetta.
If you need restorative dentistry, advanced technology can make the process faster and more comfortable. At ConfiDENT, we utilize cutting-edge CEREC technology for creating dental restorations, from crowns and bridges to veneers and dental implants.
